Russell was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in and around Houston, with the exception of living in Western Canada ages 13 – 16 due to his dad’s job. He left College to go straight into commissioned sales and now has over 40 years of business experience building new companies and markets. He has been a sales consultant and trainer for various companies, structuring
marketing plans and conducting sales training seminars.
His entrance into the Oil & Gas industry began in 1997 as General Sales Manager for an oil & gas specialty service company setting up its marketing plan to provide remediation of oil and produced water spills. Currently, he is Board Chairman for the API-Houston Chapter and this is where he met fellow Board member Mark LaCour. With his background in environmental on the oil and gas side as well as having been a public speaker, this gave him the opportunity to become a host of the OGGN HSE podcast. At present, he is a Managing Member for EROSC (www.erosc.com), distributing specialty chemical products to remediate hydrocarbon and produced water spills.
In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, working out, theater and symphony.
